Hotel powersto savings

A LOTHIANS hotel has cut its energy consumption by 44,500kw in just three months by replacing spotlights with LED fittings.

The Macdonald Houstoun House Hotel in Uphall achieved the reduction as part of an eco-efficiency drive.

General manager Herve Bernier said: “It’s great news to have achieved this saving, and all staff continually look for further ways to maximise our energy efficiency and to minimise our carbon footprint.”
