Hospital scanner deal

A COMPANY has been chosen to supply NHS Lothian with a new £1 million MRI scanner.

The 1.5T machine, to go in the Western General, will be delivered by Berkshire-based GE Healthcare. It is likely to sub-contract the deal, the contract award notice stated.

The hospital's department of clinical neurosciences will benefit from the machine.
