Homeowner appeals over dog salon

A HOMEOWNER has appealed against a decision by planners to refuse to allow him to turn his garage into a dog grooming salon.

Ewan Robertson’s plan was rejected by city planning officials because it would have “significant implications” for neighbours.

Mr Robertson has now appealed the decision, pointing out that there would only be one dog being groomed at any one time.

In a letter to officials, he said: “I already have two dogs and do not believe one dog being groomed in an insulated garage will create a ‘significant’ impact.”

He has offered to limit the number of cars visiting the premises to one in the morning, two at lunchtime and one in the afternoon, as well as limiting working hours to 8.30am-4.30pm and adding additional insulation to the walls and ceilings.
