Historic theatre awaits cash ruling

A FUNDING package to safeguard the future of the Theatre Royal in Dumfries will be decided on next week.

Built in 1792, it is Scotland's oldest working theatre. Councillors will be asked to endorse spending 315,000 to keep the building open.
