High school’s results prove to be cut above

THERE has been a 40 per cent increase in pupils achieving five highers at St David’s High School in Dalkeith – with pass rates also rising.

Dux David Bradley said target-setting combined with extra mentoring for pupils not meeting their potential was among the reasons for the improvement. Supported study groups, study guides and revision days for each subject are also credited for the high level of attainment.
