High bids at giraffe auction

Jojo Hernandez was one of the many happy shoppers in Stockbridge, when the artistic sculptures for the area's Giraffe Parade went under the hammer.

More than 40 giraffe sculptures which have been on display in Stockbridge for the past month were auctioned off for charity over the weekend just past. The giraffes were created by businesses of Stockbridge, highlighting the diversity in the area and attracting scores of people to view them and take part in the Giraffe Trail. All of the proceeds from the sale will be given to charities Children 1st and LifeCare.
