Hibees are left to curse luck again

WHEN there are rumours that you’re the subject of a century-old gypsy curse, the last thing you want to do is tempt fate.

And while Hibs played down the role of superstition in the final, actions perhaps told another story.

As Hearts circulated a full timetable for media access for their victory day at Tynecastle by Friday, Hibs would not confirm press passes for their day. Maybe they thought revealing a party plan would bring bad luck.

Whatever the reasons, their 110-year wait for a Scottish Cup win goes on.

And maybe the curse – said to have been brought on by the sacking of Hibs’ first Irish manager Dan McMichael, right – won some new believers.
