Helping apprentices to blossom

Minister for Youth Employment Angela Constance has launched Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2012 at the Royal Botanic Garden.

Scottish Apprenticeship Week aims to celebrate the success of modern apprentices and raise awareness of the benefits to both employers and young people.

Ms Constance met a number of young horticulture apprentices employed by the Botanics, including Rowan Elrin.

A number of Scottish Government ministers are taking part in events over the course of the week.
