The heat is on for Highland plants

SCIENTISTS claim to have found evidence that climate change is destroying native wild plant life on Scottish mountains.

Scottish Natural Heritage said the study of local biology records going back 50 years proved that natural vegetation in the north west Highlands was eroding away, because invasive species were spreading due to warmer, drier conditions.
