One third of allergic children are bullied

One in three children with food allergies are bullied at school, according to a new study.

Researchers found nearly a third of youngsters diagnosed with food allergies are victims of bullying.

However, nearly half of the parents polled (47.9 per cent) were not aware of the bullying — although both the bullied children and their mothers and fathers reported experiencing higher stress levels and lower quality of life.
