Hannah goes ape over prize to track gorillas

AN INVERLEITH woman has won a trip to spend five days in Rwanda, tracking mountain gorillas through their natural habitat.

Hannah Smith, 31, beat almost 1000 other entrants in the competition run by outdoor adventure firm Go Ape.

She said: "I'm absolutely astounded to have won this amazing adventure. Like most people, I enter competitions without ever thinking I might actually win, so I'm still in shock. For me, seeing any wild animal in its natural habitat is both a privilege and a thrill, so the opportunity to see these extraordinary creatures at close quarters is very special indeed."
