Groundsman killed by golfer's tee shot

A GROUNDSMAN died after being hit by a golfer's tee shot at a Florida country club, it emerged yesterday.

Maurice Hayden, 42, was weeding near a tree at the Mayfair club in Sandford when struck in the head by the 30 yard shot. He died in hospital after being taken off life support. Police said his death was accidental and that the golfer would not face charges.
