Green light for 42 homes

A DEVELOPMENT of 42 affordable homes is set to be built in a Lothian town after the plans were given a green light.

East Lothian Council applied for planning permission to create 28 new houses and 14 flats on land adjacent to Lochbridge Road in North Berwick.

The plans were approved after council chiefs agreed to pay nearly £40,000 to increase the capacity at North Berwick High School and another £30,000 to upgrade a nearby children’s play facility.
