The Midlothian Community Hospital, which opened ahead of schedule in September, will now have the facility from 8am until midnight every day.
It is one of a number of new facilities at the Dalkeith hospital, which comprises a range of various medical provisions previously available at different places across Midlothian.

Hide AdThe centre allows GPs to have access to x-ray and ultrasound equipment, while the physiotherapists have access to a massive new gym.
Project manager Andrew MacDonald said: "The new building has been well thought out. Most of the rooms are designed to be occupied by one person, and have features you would expect to find in a hotel."
