Two Glasgow University students, Alexandre Gianasso and Arthur Bigeard, have developed a web-based portal called Uniboard. The pair, who themselves met through an ad placed on a noticeboard, say Uniboard will allow students, private individuals such as landlords and businesses interact and share their services. The student-focused website also hopes to replace similar web-based services such as Gumtree.

Gianasso and Bigeard praised the university’s iGnite initiative for supporting their budding business, saying that university was “the place to find dedicated business partners, professional advice and the opportunity to start early without too many risks.”
