Glamorous prize for Hotel Missoni

A HOTEL in the Capital has been named Glamour Hotel of the Year at this year's Scottish Hotel Awards.

Hotel Missoni on George IV Bridge also scooped two gold medals in recognition of its restaurant Cucina and hotel design at an awards ceremony in Edinburgh on Sunday.

The Scottish Hotel Awards are an annual celebration of the Scottish hotel industry.

Hotel Missoni's success comes hot on the heels of its coveted inclusion in the Conde Nast Hot List 2010, where it featured as one of the world's most glamorous and luxurious destinations.

General manager, Carina Svensen, said: "Achieving this award, while still less than one-year-old, is a massive achievement."
