Give blood, urges charity

Lynne McNicoll, co-founder of the It's Good 2 Give! charity, said it would be a perfect gift to give over the Christmas and new year period.

She said: "The one thing I urge you to do is encourage friends and family and colleagues to go donate a pint of blood if they can.

"Stocks are low and this weather has been tough on the Scottish Blood Transfusion Service - let's help all we can."
