Girl, 9, mauled by dog in Perth

A nine-year-old girl was seriously injured after being attacked by a dog outside a shop, police have said.

The girl was with her grandmother outside the Co-op store in Perth when she was mauled by the animal, believed to be a bull mastiff, on Sunday November 20.

A Tayside Police spokeswoman said the incident is being investigated.

She said: “Inquiries are at an early stage.”
