Gig for Greens

AN award-winning songwriter is to host a fundraising event for the city’s Green Party. Karine Polwart said the event was important because the organisation did not have the benefit of big-money donors.

It will take place at Greyfriars Kirk on March 28, with tickets priced £12 and £8.

She said: “I’m delighted to be hosting this evening to help the Greens. The party is not beholden to millionaire backers yet its message needs to be heard even more urgently than ever.”
