Getting into the swing at North Berwick Highland Games

HUNDREDS descended on North Berwick to compete in the 21st Highland Games.

The ever-popular North Berwick Highland games returned to the town on Saturday.

The annual event, now in it’s 21st year was held on Saturday, at the Recreation Park, home of North Berwick RFC, where a host of traditional events was contested.

Participants travelled from all over Scotland to take part in everything from tug-o-war, hammer throwing, highland dancing, with one of the highlights of the festival being the pipe band competitions with team descending on North Berwick from all over the world to take part.

Many use the event as a warm-up for the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow.
