Get your kicks in woodland

A SERIES of football matches in a woodland clearing kicks off later this month as part of a celebration of Scottish culture.

Around 1000 supporters are expected to attend the Forest Pitch games, a project attached to the Cultural Olympiad and London 2012 Festival that will see around 60 “new Scots” play two matches in the heart of a spruce plantation.

The concept was created by Edinburgh-based artist Craig Coulthard and will take place on August 25 from 10.30am to 5pm.
