Get to root of naming trees

A CHANCE to learn the basics of identifying trees in the winter time is on offer at a course by the Royal Botanic Garden.

The family-friendly sessions will help youngsters learn how to recognise and name different types of tree even when they do not have any leaves. The free workshops, suitable for children aged five and upwards, will be held on Saturday, January 21 and Sunday, January 22 from 12.30pm to 3.30pm.

Children will also get to make their own stickman.
