‘Gerbil’ murder trial continues

MURDER-accused Ross Monaghan who denies shooting gangland figure Kevin “Gerbil” Carroll in a supermarket car park, was yesterday cleared of firearms offences.

At the end of the Crown case, advocate depute Iain McSporran, prosecuting, withdrew the charges relating to possession of the two guns.

The trial continues at the High Court in Glasgow.
