Garry Lockhart in court over wife and son murders
The man accused of murdering his wife and two-year old son at their Bonnyrigg home has been fully committed for trial.
Garry Lockhart, 32, made a second appearance on petition at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today a week after being charged with the murder of his wife, Janet,29, and son, Michael, in their home at South Chesters Lane on December 28.
Lockhart made a brief appearance in private before Sheriff Paul Arthurson QC. No plea or declaration was made on his behalf and there was no application for bail. Lockhart was remanded in custody.
Police have not disclosed the cause of the deaths.
