It was the second annual Sick Kids Save Point gaming event, organised by Edinburgh-born actor Tom Freeman.

Rockstar North, creator of the Grand Theft Auto games, sponsored the event and donated prizes to the top fundraisers, including T-shirts, games and other memorabilia.

Mr Freeman, a father of one, said: “I am really proud of the sum we raised at this year’s gaming marathon.”
