Game on for city students

A GROUP of talented Stevenson College students are heading for the Middle East after triumphing in a Dragons’ Den-style competition which tasked them with making an exciting new board game.

Four of the college’s HNC Business students will travel to Dubai later this month to present their game ideas to a panel of Middle Eastern marketing moguls.

Samantha Rendall, Haajarah Masoud, Hollie Stewart and Layla Lewis became involved in the competition through the college’s work with the British Council’s skills for employability programme.

The board games up for consideration at the final are Haajarah’s Fit’N’Fun, Hollie’s Fasculinity, Pick a Pig by Layla and Samantha’s Gap Year.

The final will be held in Dubai’s Academic City on June 18.
