Funeral for boy in school ‘altercation’

The funeral of a teenager who collapsed during an alleged altercation at a school is to take place tomorrow.

Euan Craig, 14, died in hospital in Glasgow on 24 May, following the incident the previous day.

A private service for family and close friends will take place at Craigton Crematorium tomorrow morning, with staff and pupils holding a memorial service at Euan’s school in Glasgow at the same time.

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with assault in relation to an incident at a school in the city. The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged with assault to severe injury and danger of life when he appeared in private at Glasgow Sheriff Court on 24 May. He made no plea and was released on bail.
