Funds offer for charities

Local charities are being urged to apply for funding from a bank foundation.

The first round of funding for 2012 from the Bank of Scotland Foundation Small Grants Programme is now open.

Charities have until Monday 16 January to send in their applications. They can apply for up to £20,000 from the programme and grants are awarded for one year only.

Livingston Labour MP Graeme Morrice said: “Many charities face an uphill battle to secure the funding they need. This small grants programme is a great opportunity for local groups to access some extra financial support.”
