Fundraising fest for Forest

AN under-threat arts venue in the Capital is playing host to a three-day festival as part of the campaign to save it.

More than 20 artists and musicians will take to the stage at the Forest Cafe from today until Saturday.

The cafe has obtained a licence for the event, with beer and wine available at the bar.

Catalina Iordache, an events co-ordinator at the Forest, said: "There will be a wide range of live bands to choose from ranging from Gaelic anarcho-punk to eight-bit Gameboy sounds, and from sweat-soaked barroom blues to a choir."
