Friends set to end zoo walk

TWO teenage friends will arrive at Edinburgh Zoo today at the end of a 50-mile fundraising walk.

Edward Grierson and Sandy Fotheringham, both 13, left Perthshire on Monday hoping to raise £500 for essential repairs to the zoo’s penguin enclosure, which is due to be renovated later this year.

Colin Oulton, bird team leader at Edinburgh Zoo, said: “I would like to say a huge thank you to Edward and Sandy for their hard work and determination. It is a fantastic accomplishment to walk 50 miles in three days.”
