Free pass lets you breach Castle walls

TOP attractions all over the Lothians are to participate in an upcoming doors open event.

Edinburgh Castle and similarly iconic venues at Direlton and Craigmillar will take part in the Historic Scotland initiative throughout November.

Visitors need to click a link on the organisation’s website to gain a free pass over the weekend of November 26.

Ten-year-old Jennie Macdonald helped Historic Scotland launch the event at Edinburgh Castle yesterday. More than 40 properties across Scotland are taking part.
