Four-in-row for Confucius

Edinburgh University's Confucius Institute has been named institute of the year for a fourth year in a row.

The award was collected in Beijing by the university's principal, Professor Sir Timothy O'Shea, before an audience of more than 3,000 people, including VIPs from foreign embassies, senior government officials and academics.

The Confucius Institute was established in 2005 in partnership with Fudan University in Shanghai.
