Planned for 2016, the new bridge will span the Forth and change the landscape of the entire valley.

It was recently revealed that Caledonia Bridge, Queensferry Crossing and St Margaret’s Crossing have been the favoureites among voters.

The contest was launched on 29 April this year, with two thirds of the votes so far being cast in the first two days.

The initial stages of the naming contest saw some 3000 entries, with some people asking to have the bridge named after Rab C Nesbitt, Chuck Norris, Paw Broon, William Wallace and Robert the Bruce.
