Former BBC man to take up post at television festival

A FORMER senior BBC entertainment executive has been appointed as the advisory chair for next year’s Edinburgh International Television Festival.

Karl Warner, who worked on shows including Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and Junior Doctors: Your Life in their Hands, takes over from Kenton Allen, chief executive of Big Talk Productions, who held the role for this year’s festival.

He said: “I hope next year’s festival will be the biggest celebration of creativity and innovation we’ve ever had.

“Everyone who attends should come away feeling inspired and equipped with highly valuable, practical insights on dealing with the creative challenges of the future.”
