Footballer denies assaulting sister

A FOOTBALLER has denied that he assaulted his sister.

West Ham United defender Calum Davenport, 27, is accused of causing actual bodily harm to Cara Davenport, 28, on 22 August. He pleaded not guilty to the charge yesterday at Luton Crown Court in Bedfordshire.

Davenport, of Bedford, is due to stand trial on 2 August and was released on bail.
