Footballer cleared of rape allegation

LEICESTER City footballer Nolberto Solano has been told he will not face any further action over a rape allegation.

The 35-year-old Peruvian was arrested by Northumbria Police in April on suspicion of rape.

He was detained at a house in Gosforth, Newcastle, after an allegation by a 22-year-old woman from the city.
