Football fans delayed train with offensive songs
Police are investigating after a group of St Mirren fans caused trouble at Livingston South station after Saturday’s match.
A group of around ten men boarded the 17.47 Edinburgh Waverley to Glasgow Central train and continued to chant and sing religiously offensive and illicit songs throughout the journey to the extent that the train was delayed.
CCTV from on the train and stations will be reviewed.
Constable Christopher Sutherland, the BTP officer in charge of the enquiry, is appealing for anyone who was on the busy service to get in touch with information which can assist enquiries.
