Food festival on move to Inverleith

THE annual Foodies Festival has announced it is moving to Inverleith Park.

The festival is switching from its usual venue in Holyrood Park for this year’s event, which will feature Fringe comics Tim Vine and Stephen K Amos cooking live.

Director Sue Hitchen said: “Inverleith is a beautiful location, with its amazing view of the city skyline, and as it’s a residential area with a large proportion of locals who are interested in artisan food and drink, it made sense to move the festival there.

“Lovers of fine food have become used to visiting Stockbridge Farmers’ Market and suppliers from there will also be appearing at the show.”

Former Scottish Chef of the Year, Neil Forbes said: “There’s always a great buzz at the show and this should be even more pronounced with the change of venue.”
