Fly along to talk on life in the Cape

AN author who spent 12 years researching the floral habitat of the Cape of Good Hope is to recount his experiences at a special talk at the Scottish Seabird Centre next month.

Mike Fraser, a conservation officer with RSPB, has written three books on the natural history of the Cape and will give an illustrated talk entitled The Smallest Kingdom on March 8.

He said: “My time at the Cape was amazing and I’m looking forward to sharing my experiences with an audience at the Seabird Centre.

“Visitors to the event will be able to enjoy the natural wonders of this beautiful location as I describe its extraordinary wildlife, particularly the floral richness of the region.”

Tickets for the event are £4 (£3) and it is suitable for audiences aged 12 and above.

Income from the evening will support the charitable work of the Seabird Centre.
