Flower show work begins

students from the Scottish Agricultural College have started work on their entry for this year’s Chelsea Flower Show.

Six HND Garden Design students are creating a display for the artisan section of the show, which runs from May 22 to 26.

Team leader Penny Wright said: “We have over 140 plants, most of them sourced from Scotland. We have alpines from Stella Rankin, herself a Chelsea medal winner. The giant Gunneras, for which we have had to build boxes to transport them safely to London, had frogs living in them when they first arrived here from the Botanics.”
