Flats revamp for old offices

A NEW development of 20 flats is set to be built on the site of empty offices which would be demolished under the plans.

East Lothian Council has applied for planning permission to build the homes on the site of Tenterfield Cottage in Victoria Park, Haddington.

Council chiefs want to replace the disused buildings with affordable housing.

A survey by the Ellancowan Environmental Consultancy found that the site is not currently home to any bats.
