Fire crews from Balloch and Dumbarton helped the ambulance service and the police.

Group Commander David McCarrey from the Scottish Fire & Rescue Service said the crews used specialist skills and experience to treat the casualties while making the scene safe. He said: “Our thoughts at this moment are with the people affected by this incident.”

Police say the road has been closed while an investigation is carried out.
