Five charged in drugs raid

FIVE people were arrested and charged after a police raid recovered cocaine worth £1200 along with cannabis.

Officers carried out a search of a property in the High Street in Prestonpans, East Lothian on Friday and seized a number of wraps of cocaine from inside.

A search of a car resulted in a further recovery of cocaine along with a three-figure cash sum.

Cannabis with an estimated value of £135 was also seized during the search.

Four men, aged 37, 33, 41 and 24, were set to appear at Haddington Sheriff Court yesterday.

A 33-year-old woman was set to appear in court at a later date.
