Fishermen’s group renews Skipper Expo sponsorship

THE Scottish Fishermen’s Federation is to sponsor one of the industry’s major showcases, the Skipper Expo International, for the second year in succession.

Bertie Armstrong, chief executive of the SFF, said the Aberdeen show was now firmly established in the industry’s calendar and provided a vital showcase for the Scottish fishing sector.

He said: “The SFF was the official sponsor of the 2013 expo, which proved a big success, and we are delighted to continue our support for the 2014 event.

“The organiser, Mara Media, has developed a great show which appeals greatly to fishermen from every corner of Scotland.”

Sharon Boyle of Mara Media said: “We are grateful to the SFF for their continuing sponsorship for the show, which provides a clear signal of the strength of support within the Scottish industry for this event.”

Next year’s event will be staged at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on 30 and 31 May.
