Fisherman dies in accident

A 58-YEAR-OLD man has died in a fishing accident, police said.

Alan Taylor, of Dundee, got into difficulties while he was angling on the River Tay in Perthshire. The accident happened close to the Jubilee Bridge in Dunkeld on Saturday. His body was found by other fishermen shortly after 3pm.

Mr Taylor was a member of Lochee Angling Club with over 30 years' experience. A police spokesman said: "There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death."
