Firms urged to help young

BUSINESSES across the city are being urged to help youngsters in their community by offering work experience, employment or modern apprenticeships.

A higher number of young people are expected to leave school or college this summer and will be entering the job market.

A new employer helpline was recently announced by the Skills Minister Keith Brown alongside a package of support, which includes incentives to employers to take on youngsters who face specific barriers.
