Fire victim dodges death
A MAN had to be resuscitated after a fire broke out in a house in Midlothian.
Firefighters used defibrillation equipment to revive the 45-year-old man at Finlay Place in Mayfield, near Dalkeith, at 6pm yesterday.
The blaze broke out in the ground floor of the end-of- terrace two-storey property.
The man was treated at the scene before being rushed to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
A fire investigation unit from Livingston was summoned to inspect the scene.
