Two people were rescued from a flat in Fife in the early hours of this morning after a fire broke out on the sixth floor of the property.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at the eight-storey Park View flats in Kirkcaldy at around 12.10am today.

They found a man and woman on the balcony of the sixth-floor flat and brought them down to safety, Fife Fire and Rescue said.
