Fire crews at dry ice spill

MORE than 20 firefighters were called to an Edinburgh University building at the Western General Hospital after reports of a spillage involving dry ice.

It is understood that an experiment went wrong at the Centre for Molecular Medicine just before 4.30pm yesterday.

Around 25 firefighters and eight fire appliances attended the scene as a precaution, as well as paramedics. The area was evacuated while fire crews investigated.
