Film director sorry over 'Nazi' remark

Director Lars von Trier has apologised after telling reporters at the Cannes Film Festival that he was "a Nazi" and could "understand Hitler".

Festival organisers said they were "disturbed", adding: "The director states that he let himself be egged on by a provocation. He presents his apology."
